The group under the auspices of Igbo Cllrs Members UK (ICM UK) is opposed to any form of trial in Nigeria for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and asked the Nigerian government to request extradition of Mazi Nnamdi as a British citizen to Nigeria, and not abducting him. They made it known to Nigerian government that Nnamdi Kalu is a British citizen. Top UK Igbo politicians, Igbo Cllrs and MPs in the United Kingdom have demanded Nigerian government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kalu, a UK citizen abducted and tortured in Nigeria.
